$M$ is projective, so there's some other module $K$ such that $M \oplus K = G$ is free. Then,

$F= G \oplus G \oplus \cdots = K \oplus M \oplus K \oplus M \oplus K \oplus \cdots$ is free, and $M \oplus F = F$ .
